Netflix has been going through a tough phase. Besides dwindling subscription numbers and a sharp fall in stock prices, the streamer is stealthily laying off employees and stopping productions, drawing an immense backlash. However, Netflix has been adding new titles to its shelves in Jun2 2022, many of which have become exceedingly popular.

Stranger Things season four had a record-breaking premiere after releasing the first volume comprising seven episodes on May 27th, 2022. Topping the global charts for the fourth time since its release, the first volume has been viewed for nearly 102 million hours this week.
The fourth season is darker and scarier than the previous seasons. Taking place across Hawkins, California and Kamchatka in Russia, the fourth season sees the demonic Vecna wreak havoc on Hawkins, killing people in a gruesome manner. The fourth season has also piqued a sharp rise in the popularity of Kate Bush’s 1985 song, “Running Up That Heal (Make a Deal With God)” due to its significance in the show.
While fans are eagerly awaiting the second volume to drop on July 1st, 2022, they have been watching the first three seasons as well to stay updated with the events. The third season has been viewed for nearly 39 million hours, the second for 38 million and the first for nearly 36 million hours.
