As the ball falls to Shaw on the edge of the box, the Englishman has an optimistic effort with his right foot which goes well over the bar.

Minute 64: McTominay with a great effort

McTominay has had his shooting boots on today, scoring the first before hitting the crossbar that fell to Ronaldo for his goal. This time, he has a go from 25 yards with a cool side footed attempt which is tipped over the bar by the goalkeeper.

Minute 49: Greenwood goes close

Greenwood receives the ball on the corner of the penalty area and whips a left footed strike towards the far post but it’s well saved by Hennessey.


Minute 38: Lennon reduces the deficit

Burnley reduce the deficit thanks to a fine solo run and finish by Aaron Lennon.

Minute 35: Ronaldo makes it 3-0!

McTominay’s effort rebounds to the feet of Ronaldo who has the easy task of tapping the ball into an empty net.

Minute 27: Sancho scores!

Sancho picks the ball up off Shaw before embarking on a solo run and then tucking the ball into the far corner.

Minute 19: Shaw has a go

On his return to the team, Shaw bursts forward and has a decent effort on goal, but it’s not enough to trouble Hennessey.

Minute 9: McTominay scores!

McTominay sees the ball kindly fall in his path on the edge of the box and places the ball in the corner for the perfect start for the hosts.
