Zendaya warned “Euphoria” fans that Season 2 may be hard to watch for some viewers. The star posted a photo of herself as her character Rue to Instagram accompanied by a message for fans of the show ahead of the season premiere. “I know I’ve said this before, but I do want to reiterate to everyone that ‘Euphoria’ is for mature audiences,'” Zendaya wrote. “This season, maybe even more so than the last, is deeply emotional and deals with subject matter that can be triggering and difficult to watch. Please only watch it if you feel comfortable.”
Zendaya teased more dark subject matter in upcoming “Euphoria” episodes when she told Teen Vogue in July 2021 Season 2 was a “challenging season.” “It’s gonna be hard and it’s gonna be devastating sometimes, but I think Rue really deserves all of that care when it comes to her character, because I think she represents a lot for so many people,” she told the mag. Zendaya admitted at the time that the new season wasn’t “going to be a fun watch” at many points. Fans who are comfortable will have to stay tuned to see how heavy the new season gets.
